Nurse Navigators
When you hear the words "you have cancer," you enter a new journey that can be scary and overwhelming. There’s a lot to learn and a list of things to do. That’s why you have a nurse navigator.
Nurse navigators give support and guidance in your cancer journey. They help you and your family with education and logistics and provide a comforting, consistent presence during this stressful time.
Our nurse navigators are professional registered nurses with oncology-specific knowledge who will be by your side throughout your journey.
During your cancer care, your nurse navigator will provide these services and more:
- Advocate for you during medical decisions
- Communicate with your primary care doctors and specialists
- Help you access multidisciplinary treatment (appointments with various specialists)
- Translate and interpret complex care plans
- Address financial barriers you may face
- Coordinate your care, appointments and follow-ups throughout your entire cancer journey
