Clinical Trials

Anne Arundel Medical Center participates in numerous clinical trials for new cancer treatments. Clinical trials are research studies that have been approved for use. For patients who have been diagnosed with cancer, participating in a clinical trial means becoming a part of the fight against cancer. Only through research can we hope to eradicate the disease. To be able to participate in clinical trials, a hospital must meet certain guidelines and should have a relatively high volume of patients. AAMC does both. In addition, the hospital's internal review board approves the clinical trials.
