![]() We’re always looking for new ways to connect with you—our nursing staff—and our community. We use emails, Town Hall Meetings, the AAMC Nurse newsletter, even the Traveling Coffee House to reach out to you. One of my favorite ways to connect is by simply talking with you in the hallways. When I ask for your feedback, I really mean it! Now, we have a new method of connecting and communicating. It’s probably the closest thing we have to a daily hallway discussion, but for the whole house—the AAMC Nursing Blog. What is a blog? It’s a website that allows users to reflect, share opinions, and discuss various topics in the form of an online discussion. Why blog? You’ll learn more about events relevant to nursing at AAMC—both inside our walls and in our community. Content is geared toward current events in and around our organization, opportunities for your ideas and feedback, dialogue with other nurses. Where can I blog? Click the orange B on the top left to see the most recent stories on our new Clinical Ladder and “Hospital Heroes,” the volunteer drivers from our community who made safe travel possible for so many of our staff during the recent snowstorms. With new posts every week, you’ll want to check back often. With warmest regards, Sherry B. Perkins, PhD, RN Chief Nurse Executive Vice President, Patient Care Services |
